AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Soccer junior DB Jahdae Barron has been named the Large 12 Defensive Participant of the Week, the convention introduced on Monday. It marked the primary convention honor of Barron’s profession.
An Austin, Texas native, Barron recorded his first profession interception in Saturday’s comeback victory over UTSA at Darrell Ok Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, returning it for a 44-yard landing, the primary pick-six of his profession. He added six tackles (three solo) within the 41-20 win over the Roadrunners.
The Longhorns journey to Texas Tech on Saturday for the primary street sport of the season. The sport will kick off from Jones AT&T Stadium at 2:30 p.m. CT and be televised on ESPN.
